Life & Legacy Campaign

You have made Beth El a part of your life, and it has made a difference. Now is the time to take the next step.

When we needed Beth El most, they were there for us.  We had moved to the South Hills in 2007 but had yet to affiliate with any synagogue, though we visited Squirrel Hill for the holidays.  When Bill’s father passed away in 2012, our family arrived unannounced for kaddish the night after, and in our sadness we were instantly comforted by the embrace of Sam Balk.  We didn’t know it at the time, but this was the foundation of our love for Beth El. In the coming years, we both grew to feel a strong attachment with the people at Beth El, from bonding friendships with fellow members to the just perfect leadership of Steve Hecht and Rabbis Alex & Amy.  We never feel pressure to be involved more than we desire, nor to give more that we are able, but we always feel welcome and a part of something special.  We are grateful for Beth El’s place in our community and feel dedicated to helping perpetuate Beth El’s legacy to make sure that their model of warmth and inclusiveness is available for generations to come.
